Long Island Challenge Camp

Overview

FOUR STAR LONG ISLAND CHALLENGE CAMP
is three different events running simultaneously
at Farmingdale State College
June 29th- July 3rd.
A youth camp, a junior varsity and Varsity Tournaments.

SUNY Farmingdale has great facilities including 8 lacrosse fields.
The pool will be available throughout the week.

After 15 years of  Four Star Lacrosse Camp operating as an overnight camp at
colleges up and down the east coast and because of the current economic conditions
we are bringing the camp  home to Long Island. We are excited about the new concept and we hope that you will support us.

LONG ISLAND CHALLENGE VARSITY TOURNAMENT
for boys
Varisty level players

Farmingdale State College
June 29th - July 3rd

Varsity Division
This division will play in a tournament format.  Each team will play 8 games, 2 games per day.  We can be flexible if a team needs a compressed schedule.  The games will be regulation high school games with man-up and man-down.  They will consist of four 15 minute running time quarters, with a one minute break between quarters.  Two certified referees will be assigned to each game.

The division will be divided into an A and B conference, your HS coach will be asked to place his team in the appropriate conference.  Each team will be made up of at least 20 players.  If a team’s roster is less than 20 players Four Star reserves the right to add individual or “walk-on” players to that roster.

Games will be scheduled from 10am until dusk from Monday to Thursday (Friday is a rain day). There will be speed training classes, taught by two former NFL players, available each day for $15 per class.  Classes will be scheduled so every player will have a chance to participate.

There will also be a face-off and goalie clinic each day for a fee of $15 per class.  These classes will be taught by experienced high school coaches and current college players.

We welcome teams and individuals from outside the Long Island area.  Dorms and the Cafeteria will be available for an additional cost.  Individual players will be assigned to a team or will play on an “All-Star” team.  Out of town teams will also have the option to condense their schedule.

Each team will receive numbered team specific reversibles if the majority of the team is registered by June 1, 2009.  Individuals will wear numbered Four Star reversibles.
